WHAT WE DO

 

 

After a career in promotions working for radio station groups in London, East Anglia and latterly in the North East, Mike Swan established Wireless Promotional Marketing Ltd in 2002.

As a child I always loved cars and I bring this passion to all of the solutions I provide to a wide cross-section of brands and dealership groups. I have delivered results for most car brands – from Rolls-Royce to Renault, from Proton to Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar to Daewoo. I fully understand how the approach between premium and volume brands needs to be adapted to suit the differing aspirations and demands of their customers.

And while I love cars, I never forget that my clients are in the business of selling them and need us to deliver quality prospects and not quantity.

I provide both creative and workmanlike solutions that deliver quality leads from people that have a genuine interest in buying.


The solutions I provide include:


  • Product placement management. Identifying and managing the booking at venues such as Tesco and Morrisons supermarkets, shopping arcades and centres, county and summer shows, cash and carries, golf and shooting clubs as well as a host of other venues all of which will deliver quality prospects.


  • Brand ambassadorial role.  I love engaging with people at various venues providing them with details of the car(s) on display and data capturing or arranging an appointment. And if I’m not available I have a team of other professional event staff who share the passion.


  • Data capture. Using either a standard or customised data capture form I provide our clients with names, postal and email addresses, phone number(s), details of the prospect’s current car and when they’re planning to change it as well as, when appropriate, general background info. And post event as part of our service we enter all of the data collected on to an Excel spreadsheet which is emailed to dealership staff straight after the event.


  • Ride ‘n’ Drive events. As we all know the “bums on seats” cliché is also a truism. Total event management provides dealership staff with an opportunity for them to focus on what they’re good at – building customer relationships and selling cars.


  • Business-to-business exhibitions. I have identified, managed and staffed business-oriented activity for Jaguar and Lexus at events in Teesside and Tyneside.

  • Affinity partnerships. Over the years I have identified and managed joint events across the country with partners such as Brewin Dolphin plc, Lloyds Bank and a couple of business clubs.


  • Outbound phoning. I have a strong interest in cars that enables me to quickly assimilate a high level of product knowledge. I have a friendly and assertive phone manner, which is assertive but not “pushy”. Over the past few years I have delivered, and continue to deliver, significant results for Stratstone’s Jaguar dealerships in Newcastle and Stockton, their Land Rover site in Stoke on Trent as well as for Lancaster Toyota in Sunderland, by undertaking outbound phoning of their databases from my home office.
